Robert L. Parks, a member of the NJC’s Board of Trustees, was named Plaintiff Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Florida Chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
An accomplished attorney with more than 50 years of experience, Parks was one of two individuals to earn the accolade. The organization said Parks “embodies the essential qualities that epitomize [the organization] and is committed to the preservation of the jury system.”
Parks was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1964 and has since engaged in extensive plaintiff product liability and aviation practice. He’s also served as chair of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Air & Space Law and is past president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He received his law degree from Georgetown University School of Law.
Parks was a founding member of the College’s Board of Visitors in 2006. He served on that board until June of 2016, when he was appointed to the Board of Trustees.
