In 2023, there were 121 public dispositions against state court judges, seven of whom were removed from office. According to reports at least 15 other judges agreed to resign or retire. All these are in addition to the host of sanctions, suspensions, and reprimands that are issued every year. Join the National Judicial College in Las Vegas on Friday, October 11 for a full-day course focused exclusively on judicial ethics. Faculty will help provide guidance and clarity to issues involving undignified conduct, social media, volunteering and extrajudicial activities, pro se litigants, sovereign citizens, and recusal. In addition, extra sessions will focus on questions surrounding the general election and judicial elections, including campaigning, donations, and candidate support by judges and court staff.
