Friday, May 29, 2020, at 3 p.m. PT (6 p.m. ET)
Thirty-Seven Wines and The National Judicial College invite you to a virtual tasting of three award-winning wines in a Zoom session that will help raise money for the College’s pandemic Emergency Fund. The event will take place Friday, May 29, and will be conducted by Thirty-Seven Wines’ talented winemaker, Shane Finley. To participate, order the 3-pack of fine wines by Wednesday, May 20 ($108 for non-Wine Club members, $86.40 for Wine Club Members). Then on Friday, May 29, you’ll open the wines and log in using a link, to be sent to you by Wednesday, May 27. Fifteen percent of the proceeds – and any related sales – will be donated to The National Judicial College’s Emergency Fund to support the College through its pandemic-related financial emergency. The National Judicial College is the country’s oldest, largest and most widely attended school for judges. Based in Reno, Nevada, it educates about 10,000 judges every year from every state and several foreign countries. |
Thirty-Seven Wines is a small-production family winery with a vineyard on the rolling hillsides of southern Sonoma County, California. The property overlooks the north shore of San Pablo Bay with views of Mt. Tamalpais and the San Francisco skyline. All grapes used to produce its exceptional wines are estate grown. The proprietors are Judicial College Trustee Al Brayton and his wife, Lisa. The winemaker, Shane Finley, interned at Copain, Torbeck in the Barossa Valley and Domaine Pierre Gaillard in the Northern Rhone of France. He has worked with Dumol, Carlisle & Pisoni Estate, as assistant winemaker at Paul Hobbs, as associate winemaker at Kosta Browne and as winemaker at Lynmar Estate. In addition to Thirty-Seven Wines, he crafts wines for AldenAlli, Banshee and Shane Wines. A testament to Shane’s consummate skill as a winemaker is that he makes 15 different wines for Thirty-Seven, ranging from Albariño to Petit Verdot, and all have been awarded gold medals in various competitions. Thirteen have been rated 90 points or higher by Wine Enthusiast. The wines that will be tasted at this virtual event were selected with input from the staff at the Judicial College and represent some of their favorites from the vineyard.
