National Judicial Outreach Week, a campaign to engage the public about the judiciary, will be held for the first time March 5-11, 2017. The event is an initiative by the American Bar Association Judicial Division.
The ABA encourages active and retired judges throughout the country to engage their communities about liberty, the rule of law, and preservation of fair and impartial courts. The goal is to increase public trust and understanding of the role of the courts in upholding the law.
Information about the event can be found on the ABA Judicial Division’s website. Additionally, the ABA has provided a 24-page packet with information for judges on how to participate, including a suggested PowerPoint presentation.
