Only twice in the NJC’s 54-year history has the College exceeded 1,000 enrollments for tuition-based (paid) courses by the end of May. With 930 and counting, that milestone is within reach.
In both 2000 and 2006 the College had more than 1,000 tuition enrollments by May. This year’s total continues the trend of growth and recovery since the Great Recession hamstrung state budgets and diminished NJC enrollments from around 2009–2013.
Since 2004, the College’s highest annual enrollment for tuition-based courses was 1,494 in 2005.
