The National Judicial College is seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to oversee all aspects of the Finance Department, including all financial reporting and compliance, departmental training and development, internal control maintenance, budgeting, internal audits and financial analysis. Your work will support the company's mission, goals, and objectives while ensuring financial compliance.
The ideal qualified candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field
- At least 6+ years of experience in financial management and reporting.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- Previous experience applying generally accepted accounting principles and practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with a nonprofit
Responsibilities
- Oversee fiscal management and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Prepare and interpret financial reports.
- Manage risk analysis and treasury functions to support strategic planning.
- Work with and coordinate annual audit
- Supervise accounting operations.
- Prepare and file financial reports for federal and foundation grants
- Collaborate with senior management to drive business development initiatives.
- Ensure accurate financial statement preparation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding financial performance and regulatory reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
