Online Training Available for Tribal Judges, Court Administrators and Court Clerks 10/7/09
Funded by a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, two courses are now available for tribal court judges, tribal court administrators and tribal court clerks. Both courses are online, there is no tuition, and registration is limited to 15 participants. More information on the course and grant can be found by clicking on each course name. Tribal Court Clerk Training: A Web-Based Course will be held October 26-November 20, 2009. This course will enhance the ability of court clerks to evaluate their performance in key areas (such as customer service, ethics, calendaring, case management, and professional responsibilities) and develop practical approaches for making improvements. Court Management for Tribal Judges and Court Administrators: A Web-Based Course will be held November 9-December 11, 2009. This course will enhance the ability of judges and court administrators to evaluate the performance of their court in key areas (such as budgeting, calendaring, case management, and personnel administration) and develop practical approaches for making improvements. An effective court system incorporates able budgeting practices, prompt and accurate case administration as well as competently trained personnel which in turn provides your community with a respected and trustworthy tribal justice system.
