The National Judicial College reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any listed course. If a course is cancelled, a full refund of all fees paid for the course will be issued. In the event that a course must be cancelled, the NJC will provide at least 30 days notice. If a course is cancelled and the participant has purchased airline tickets, the NJC will reimburse the participant for the cost of the change ticket fee if the participant transfers to another course within one year. If the participant elects not to transfer into another course, the NJC will reimburse only the tuition and conference fees that the participant has paid. The NJC reserves the right to limit the enrollment in any scheduled class.

Participant Cancellation Policy
A full tuition and conference fee refund is available if your cancellation notice is received 30 days prior to the start date of the course; otherwise, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed.

Confirmation Notice
Each participant will be sent an electronic and a written confirmation of enrollment. If a confirmation letter is not received within 14 days following application submittal, please contact the NJC Registrar’s Office at: (800) 255-8343 or (775) 784-6747 or registrar@judges.org.

Group Rates
Discounted group rates may be available for some NJC courses held in Reno. Please call the Business Office at (800) 25-JUDGE for more information.

Financial Assistance
Financial support from individual contributors and foundations, as well as the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), state IOLTA funds, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and several state traffic safety agencies provide financial assistance for judicial education and training for the nation’s judiciary. Individual states may also have sources of funding available. For further information about applying for financial assistance to attend NJC programs, please contact: Rebecca Bluemer, Scholarship Officer at (800) 25-JUDGE or (775) 327-8269.

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits
CLE credits are provided to participants via a uniform certificate of attendance form upon completion of applicable NJC courses. Participants are responsible for filing this form with their states’ Continuing Legal Education Commissions or Boards where required. While NJC courses are nationally recognized by CLE Commissions or Boards, participants are asked to please follow their states’ specific filing rules to have their CLE credits approved. If further clarification is needed, please contact the NJC Registrar’s Office at: (800) 255-8343 or (775) 784-6747.

Attendance
The National Judicial College has a responsibility to the funding agencies that
sponsor your attendance. The NJC must ensure that the tax dollars spent on continuing education are utilized for maximum benefit. It is, therefore, the policy and practice of the NJC not to award a Certificate of Completion to any participant who fails to attend all educational sessions. Participants who are unable to attend a class session(s) due to an emergency situation must contact the program attorney/manager for the course immediately.

If any portion of the course is missed, a participant may have to submit a written project determined in consultation with the program attorney/manager for the course. Failure to receive written permission or completion of the written project may result in the denial of the Certificate of Completion and notification to the funding agency and/or revocation of financial assistance.
